Naomi felt called to the mission field from a young age. After graduating as a nurse, she spent time working with children and premature babies before being called by God to Guatemala in April, 2009.
She now runs Treasures of God Children’s Home, that was licensed and began operating in April 2014. There are currently 10 girls that she cares for. The Home’s mission statement is: “To love, value and become family to abandoned children with special needs, simply because they are fearfully and wonderfully made by God.” This sums up Naomi’s heart for the children. She wants the girls to know without a doubt that they are valued by a God that loves them completely, has made them perfectly, that we all have a purpose in this life, and that God has a perfect plan for them.
Naomi, along with the team working at her home, give the best quality of care available to the children that they can. This includes the basics such as food, clothing and shelter, but they also provide Bible studies, education, specialist Dr. visits, surgeries, and therapies (such as physical and speech). She wants each child to be given the tools needed to reach their individual and unique potential, while living in a family-style environment.
Naomi is very excited to be doing the work God has laid on her heart!
