Heath and Mariko Meikle
Heath and Mariko Meikle, together with their children Kiara and Darius, serve God in the heart of Athens, Greece. With the backing of CTEN they will be partnering with a team from the First Evangelical Church of Athens, planting a church in the inner-city district of Exarcheia. They are thrilled about this opportunity to pursue their long-term goals of church planting and discipleship with Greeks.
Mariko grew up in Greece as a child of missionaries and spends her spare time knitting warm things for her family’s enjoyment. Heath has a background as an industrial electrician, dealing with process control and the training of apprentices. His work experience has fueled his passion for discipleship, as the two share common training principles. A self-styled foodie, Heath is eager to use his cooking skills to present the Gospel in subversive and tasteful ways. As a family they have been living in Greece for three years and are hoping that they will soon be speaking Greek well enough to blend in with the locals!
